Video Post: A Look Back at My Travels in 2014

It’s Christmas and I’m feeling nostalgic. It’s time to take a look at the year gone by, and all the awesomeness that it was. This is 2014, in travel:

In This Travel Video You Will Discover:

  • Heli-Skiing
  • Elephants
  • Mountain Climbing
  • Orangutans
  • Kayak Adventures
  • And More!

Every year, themes arise. For me, in 2014, I explored a great deal of my home country — Canada. I checked off two new provinces — Newfoundland and Nova Scotia — and a couple of new cities, including Winnipeg. And I travelled to the Arctic during winter for the first time. I love Canada. There is a richness to the travel experiences here that gets overlooked by our citizens all too often.

I also explored the U.S. quite a bit. I bounced from the East Coast to the West with stops in between. And then I went to Borneo. So it was a year of “new,” both Across and Abroad.

I don’t know what 2015 will bring. I know I’ll be in Utah in January and Mexico in April. And I’m going to do some skiing. And, in summer, more motorcycle touring. That’s all I really have planned right now. So I’m hopeful.

I’ve compiled one-minute’s worth of my favourite travel memories from the year. Enjoy. And have a great 2015.

Last year, I listed my 2013 Travel Stats. I think I’m going to make a habit of this. Here is 2014:

  • 2 continents
  • 3 countries
  • 15 out-of-province trips
  • 36 planes
  • 1 awesome year
